Did you know that eggs have seasonality, too? We often forget there is a natural rhythm for eggs, just like everything else in nature. On average, hens need 14-16 hours of daylight for peak egg production. With the increase of daylight hours, comes egg season! 🍳

Contrary to popular belief, the color of an egg shell or its yolk is actually more dependent on the hen’s breed, and its diet, rather than the overall nutritional difference. This is especially true for pasture-raised hens as their diets change with the seasons. ☀️
