Last Call for Summer Fruit ☀️

We are loving all of the fresh, locally-grown fruit available at the store right now! Full of vitamins and hydrating juices, fruit is just what our bodies need in this summer heat. Stock up on vine ripe concord grapes, watermelons, cucumber, heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil and more while they're here!

Produce

This week’s fresh harvest includes a delicious variety of local, seasonal options! As always, if you can't make it in until Saturdayplease put a pre-order in so that we can either reserve some of the harvest from earlier in the week or harvest again and have it waiting fresh for you.

  • Beets! 

  • Blueberries (frozen)

  • Cabbage (green or purple)—If you're trying to can or make sauerkraut, order ahead and we'll try to offer bulk for the weeks to come!! 

  • Carrots

  • Cauliflower

  • Cherry Tomatoes (many heirloom varieties)

  • Concord Grapes— fresh off the vine!

  • Cucumbers—getting later in the season and harder to offer in quantity, enjoy them while they last!

  • Eggplant

  • Garlic

  • Green and Sweet Pepper Varieties —Banana, Bell (green, yellow, red), Poblano, Shishito, Yummy, and More!

  • Green, Yellow, and Purple Beans (bush, filet, and vine varieties

  • Heirloom Tomatoes—Many colors and varieties! Great for making your favorite sauces, pastes, and for eating! Don't miss the season for eating and storing fresh and nutritious tomato flavors!

  • Herbs—Fresh basil, celery, chives, lavender, mint, oregano, parsley, sage, thyme, and some surprises!! Many dried options! 

  • Hot Pepper Varieties—jalapeño, sugar rush, and additional chili varieties

  • Kale

  • Leeks 

  • Lettuce (whole heads)—The heads are full, long-lasting, and have a delicious crunch. We're taking another week to pause on our mixed leaf lettuce while it regrows!

  • Okra

  • Onions —another week of Candy onions, white, "red" (purple), and longkeepers!

  • Potatoes—medium to large Purple, Red Nolans, Kennebecs, and Yukon Golds!! Fresh dug . . . amazing flavor! 

  • Pumpkins and other winter squash varieties are starting to want to be harvested!

  • Sweet Corn—this may be the last week we have it!

  • Swiss Chard

  • Watermelon—multiple varieties and flavors!

  • Zuks—starting to run low for the season!

    As always, our produce is GMO-free and grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides — and we make sure it stays that way, even for crops that are tricky to grow naturally! 

Dairy & Eggs

This week’s options include:

  • Grass-fed cow's milk, butter, buttermilk, cheese (Caciocavallo, cottage, GGC sharp cheddar, semi-soft, washed rind cheese, traditional tomme, semi-firm, smear-ripened, Alpine style premium reserves and a variety of others), French Dip, Kefir (plain), sour cream, yogurt (plain & vanilla), and whipping cream! We cannot predict the flow of traffic from week-to-week that causes us to run out of some of these dairy and creamery items. Additionally, we need to plan 2 weeks ahead to supply them. Thank you for understanding!

Meat Availability

This week’s options (while supplies last) include:

  • Beef Prime Steaks: Thick cut Filets, NY Strips, Ribeyes and thinner cut Sirloin Steaks! Dry aged 14 days and grass fed start to finish . . . delicious!

  • Beef Savory Steaks & Ribs: Cubed and Skirt Steaks as well as Short Ribs!

  • Beef Grill Options: Ground Beef, Chuck, Round, and Sirloin, Beef Patties (3 or 4 pk), Suet (for getting your skillet hot, with flavor), and more! We're also carrying The Brooklyn Hot Dog Company dogs: All Beef or Beef & Pork!   • Chicken (frozen for the season): Whole and Cut-ups (breasts—currently boneless/skinless only, leg quarters, thighs—boneless or bone-in options, and wings—ask about our party wings!!), Ground Chicken, Soup Bones (necks and backs—2 for the price of 1 while supplies last, for the backs) and Organ Meats (liver & gizzards).
