Spending time with family and friends warms our hearts, no matter the time of year. Make this season extra memorable with locally-raised meats like pastured pork roasts, pasture-raised whole chicken or duck, grass-fed beef roasts like chuck, sirloin tip, rump, and a limited supply of prime rib or brisket. 

We also have fresh seasonal produce from our farm like sweet potatoes, butternut squash, onions, and grass-fed dairy like heavy whipping cream, buttermilk, eggnog, and kefir, along with pantry goods to make delicious sides like organic cranberry sauce!  ⁠Pre-order (& place your turkey orders soon if you plan to!) online for in-store or curbside pickup, or shop at our farm store. Produce

Our gardens are transitioning as the cooler climate sets in. And this week, we've been working extra late into the nights to harvest, gather, transplant, and cover in prep for our first deep frosts of the season. With all this hard work and effort, we are able to ensure our season lasts longer while we trap as much of that warm, gorgeous sunlight in our grateful plants as we can. We've also been planting cold tolerant seedlings, right in our rich soil which has been waiting to welcome these new babies with abundant nutrients—generously feeding all of us. This week’s fresh harvest includes: 

  • Arugula

  • Beets

  • Blueberries (frozen)

  • Cabbage

  • Carrots

  • Daikon Radish—one will serve a family of 3, unique and flavorful! 

  • Eggplant

  • Garlic

  • Green Bell Peppers and other Sweet Peppers — get them while you can!!

  • Heirloom Tomatoes—Just a few this late in the season!

  • Herbs—Fresh chives, dill, lavender, mint, oregano, parsley, sage, thyme, and some surprises!! Many dried options! 

  • Hot Pepper Varieties (some that will ignite the pallet of even the most tolerant)!—chili, datil, jalapeño, poblano, serrano, sugar rush, Thai, and additional chili varieties (fading with the cold so get them while you can and dry them at home for your winter dishes)!

  • Kale (curly)

  • Leeks—Enjoy them in your favorite soup stocks or just enjoy them!

  • Lettuce (whole heads and some mixed)

  • Mixed Greens—a fascinating and exotic salad mix for the adventure in you! We've been adding fresh herbs to the concoction for a little excitement!

  • Mushrooms—oak log harvested fresh shiitake: DELICIOUS and oh so good for us! We also have dried shiitake and maitake and "Malama" powder mixes with many therapeutic claims. For more on "mālama" enjoy your "ocean education classroom" with Dane Maxwell and learn more about this fascinating word!

  • Onions —Candy onions!

  • Potatoes—Red Nolans and Kennebecs!! Fresh dug . . . amazing flavor! 

  • Pumpkins and other Winter Squash (and gourde) varieties including winter luxury pumpkins, autumn frost, buttercups, honey boat delicata, honey nut butternut and full-size butternut, green and cream—Thelma Sanders—acorn, Musqee de Provance (Fairytale Pumpkins), spaghetti squash and many more! Enjoy the season of squash and get your potassium punch of the day!

  • Red Radish!

  • Scallions (green onions) —super fresh and delicious!

  • Shallots

  • Spinach

    As always, our produce is GMO-free and grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides — and we make sure it stays that way, even for crops that are tricky to grow naturally! 

Dairy & Eggs

  • Grass-fed cow's milk, butter, buttermilk, cheese (Caciocavallo, cottage, GGC sharp cheddar, semi-soft, washed rind cheese, traditional tomme, semi-firm, smear-ripened, Alpine style premium reserves and a variety of others), French Dip, Kefir (plain), sour cream, yogurt (plain & vanilla), and whipping cream! 

  • Chicken & Duck eggs!

Meat Availability

This week’s options (while supplies last) include:

  • Beef Prime Steaks: NY Strips, Ribeyes and Denver Steaks. If you haven't tried the Denver Steak, you will want to! They're also known as "chuck under blade steak" or "boneless cut short rib steak" and are not quite as expensive as the other prime steaks. Compared with other muscles, this one doesn't get much action, which gives the cut extra tenderness and has been ranked as one of the tenderest with plenty of great, deep beefy flavor. It takes a strong hand and an experienced butcher to offer this steak. But the extra effort is worth it!
